My boys at the town Memorial day festival. Which really should have been called a ceremony not a festival... They named every person from our county that has ever died in a war, which was super cool for a grown up... Toddlers and little bears think otherwise...
Here are their favorite parts:
Fire Trucks
One GIANT Flag
Big guns going boom!
Men is skirts... I mean kilts!
Yes, our fire truck has the batman symbol on the ladder basket.
But you had to look WAY up to see it.
To recover from the heat we went to the candy/icecream shop just across the little town square area!
After unpacking his treats and unsettling a little Jay determined that he liked his new sidekick (everyone in Texas has a sidekick) Cowboy Booger.
Booger and Jay explored the ranch and booger showed Jay all of the cool toys and books that Jay could play with while visiting. Booger then had to go with Pa to school, while Jay and Ma had the morning free before Ma had to mosey into work.
So Jay and Ma worked on some inchies for another swap ma was in and then did some dishes (ack chores on vacation!!)
Jay went with Ma to work where he ate all of her brownie that she had packed for lunch!!
We are so excited to have Jay coming to stay with us in Texas this summer. Jay is a member of the Little Visitor swap exchange program courtesy of Craftster.org. Our Little Visitor, Lola (after much drama, but that is another story) is going to stay with Sweety28303 in Fayettville, NC!
